The Rewrite It Club is an online community that helps encourage writers as they dive into deep and thorough revisions for their stories.
Often called developmental revisions, we help ask the question: why? in every element of a writer’s story. Sometimes the answers are easy, but more often writers have to dig deep into a character’s psyche and life in those moments leading up to the first page of a story.
We became obsessed with this question and how it pertains to our own stories and the ones we read and critique, which is what sparked the idea of a #RewriteItClub : a water cooler space where writers can talk and work together to hammer down those large revisions.
You can find us every 3rd Monday on Twitter at the #RewriteItClub hashtag (5pm Eastern) asking those tough why questions and commiserating with other fellow writers as we make our way through revisions and help each others’ stories shine.
